422: On Dumping Your "End of Times" & "Last Days" Narratives

In today's final episode of this series Nathan & Val talk about the negative impact of "end of times" narratives that they both bought into and taught their children as traditionally believing Latter-day Saints.  They discuss how "last days" narratives are handy when one wants to be assured they are God's chosen and when one needs to make sense of the death and destruction of others (because they are less righteous).  

They frame this whole series as as call to each of us to examine the nature of God we have been taught and see how much this version of God divides us from others and even from finding our own highest potential.
